Simple healthy meals your dc enjoy?

DH and I often disagree what the dds should be eating.
He buys imo far too much frozen crap because he says the dds eat it and enjoy it more than home cooked food.
I think that is irrelevent and they should be eating mainly home cooked meals with frozen suff less than twice a week. Though they do often leave most of their meal but will wolf down fish fingers and smiley faces.
Give some ideas for popular, child friendly home cooked meals

smoked haddock and mash potato, pop a bit of cheese on the haddock and it makes a quick easy supper serve with broc and carrots
I freeze the fish as you can cook from froozen.
agree that what they prefer is irrelevant - they may eat more if you serve crap but if the more you serve homecooked goodies the more they are going to eat eventually.
tonight we are having ham (baking in the oven right now) with jackets, brocolli and peas. keeping it simple is a good start though agree with hiding lentils wherever you can!
Oh yes, forgot about meatballs. I make them myself about once a month and freeze. Good in a basic passata with spaghetti, or served swedish style in creamy gravy with boiled potatoes, steamed veg and a cranberry or lingonberry sauce.
Making your own fisfingers or fish goujons is easy, too. Just cut white fish into strips, coat in egg and flour or breadcrumbs and fry or bake.
The only way I've ever gotten my 4 yr old to eat lentils is in a veggie shepherds pie.
Mine love cheese omelettes.
Home made beef burgers (beef mince and about a tablespoonful of really finely chopped onion, salt and pepper - no eggs, no breadcrumbs, you don't need any of that).
They like tortellini stuffed with spinach and ricotta which I make a home-made tomato sauce for.
They love roasted veg with couscous and roasted chicken thighs.
Chicken drumsticks, garlic bread and salad.
Salmon baked in foil in the oven served on rice with soy sauce, and green beans.
Never forget the humble baked spud...cheese, beans, tuna, left over bolognaise etc.
And soup - a mixture of butternut, parsnips, carrots, pots. Simmer in milk and chicken stock and blitz in liquidizer.
Meatballs are good in tomato. Serve with rice, pasta or spuds.

dd2 likes fajitas we have that as a family meal but dd1 won't touch them with a barge pole so she has fish finger and salad wraps with her tortillas instead.
I am trying her with chicken enchilladas this week, hopefully they will go down better.
It doesn't help that DH and dd1 are both very fussy eaters and Dh likes us all to eat together.
His mum saw nothing wrong with frozen food, he was brought up on it, so he see's nothing wrong with it either.
They both love cherry toms I have never thought of adding them to cheesy pasta, my uncle grows them too, so we always have a fridge full of them, fresh of the vine.
They don't like sweet potato but will eat 'normal' potatos so baked potatos with beans and cheese and a side salad might be nice <they won't really eat much salad but do like tomtatos, sliced peppers and cucumber sticks>
Baked sweet potatoes with fillings (veg or beef chilli; tuna 'mayo' made with creme fraiche instead of mayonnaise)
Healthy fish & chips: Homemade fish cakes (salmon ones especially good, although ones made with tinned tuna are cheap as chips and also go down well) + homemade 'chips' (potato or sweet potato, sliced and baked) or wedges.
Fajitas - to be honest, the ones I do for my children arent authentic at all. I just warm up some flour tortillas and serve with lots of little bowls / plates of whatever I've got in as fillings - strips of grilled chicken, grated cheese, sweetcorn, raw or cooked veg etc - and they help themselves
'Cheats' baked macaroni cheese - mix cream cheese and some grated cheddar into hot pasta, bung in some cherry tomatoes (sometimes I bung in broccoli, too), top with more grated cheddar and bake in the oven.
