littlewhitebag Sat 28-Jun-14 22:08:40

I love LOUD.

I bet they are amazing live. I would love to be in the audience.

ConcreteElephant Sat 28-Jun-14 22:09:35

woohoo!

What a bleeding racket! dP and I decided we couldn't face it and are now desperately channel surfing. Not my thing at all

Noisy. And not sure what all the stuff at the beginning was about. And who are the 300 people at the back of the stage?

tempusfoogit Sat 28-Jun-14 22:10:15

I love the bassists plaits-remember him from the Metallica documentary when he had just joined the band and was awestruck by them all!

LoveVintage Sat 28-Jun-14 22:10:45

Am not a fan at all, but think they would be amazing if you were there. Am more excited about seeing Dolly tomorrow!

The place is jumping.

Dh is very happy. I think they are ok and fun for a Saturday night. Wish we could turn it up but I don't want to make my neighbours cry.

tempusfoogit Sat 28-Jun-14 22:12:16

Pouring down!

ConcreteElephant Sat 28-Jun-14 22:12:40

I think the people at the back of the stage might be rent-a-fans, just in case no one turned up ;)

No, loving this...DH and I are feeling all nostalgic now.

Can't believe I 'woohoo'd though - I am so almost 40...

<sits comfy in slippers with chocolate ice-cream and ponders more hardcore times>

We're loving it!

It is pishing down (scots vernacular) but still it looks awesome.

Changebagsandgladrags Sat 28-Jun-14 22:13:23

Sounds great. I like a bit of different at Glastonbury.

I went one year and it was so bloody samey that I sat in the circus tent.

Valsoldknickers Sat 28-Jun-14 22:13:29

Pretty cool. Great to see a metal band getting top billing. Would be great if Bruce Dickenson did a cheeky guest spot!! ;)

OhBabyLilyMunster Sat 28-Jun-14 22:13:33

Rubbish.

Totally wrong for glasto. And they were second choice.....

Pft. Sell outs

wink

ConcreteElephant Sat 28-Jun-14 22:13:43

Hetfield's middle name is Alan. Now that's rock.

poorbuthappy Sat 28-Jun-14 22:13:49

We are watching and have decided that we would be at the back swaying and probably smoking something.

I think the rain must add to it in a way.

SignoraStronza Sat 28-Jun-14 22:14:10

Only half decent stuff I've seen on the coverage so far. And thank goodness they're actually playing some of the pre Black album tracks.

But compared to a lot of metal I listen to they're soft as sh*t. In fact, demoted to 'rock'. Ah, back in the day....
