3 of the 4 have long hair. 1 is covered all over with short. There might be swimming in the sea.

There might be a washing machine but i'm not sure.

Is Devon especially sopping?

ThereIsIron Fri 27-Jun-14 13:23:48

Ordinarily I'd say 4, but since you're in Devon you'll need 7.

RoganJosh Fri 27-Jun-14 13:24:10

How many do you usually use in a week?

RoganJosh Fri 27-Jun-14 13:24:47

Although, are you going for a week?

dancestomyowntune Fri 27-Jun-14 13:26:19

Personally I'd take one each for the beach and one each for showering. I live in Devon, we aren't that much wetter than anywhere else!

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 13:26:44

No idea what is usually used in a week. Except D2 currently has 6 on her bedroom floor (i'm doing a silent protest and refuse to collect them)

PrueDent Fri 27-Jun-14 13:27:15

I'd take a towel each for bath/shower. And a towel each for the beach.

Then, if there were no washing machine and and towels were dirty beyond use I would buy more in the nearest primark/boyes/B&M.

A bath towel each, a head towel each, and a beach towel each. Tea towels and a hand towel for the kitchen?

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 13:28:20

But the ones in the towel box are the old threadbare ones and the nice ones are on D2s floor.

So should i collect them and wash them for packing?

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 13:28:46

Towel angst!

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 13:29:11

Can't cope. Will have a nap.

RevoltingPeasant Fri 27-Jun-14 13:29:25

To be fair Devon is one of the wettest counties, and you can't be too prepared.

Although it is gorgeous here today grin

I'd say beach towel plus house towel for each person.

RevoltingPeasant Fri 27-Jun-14 13:30:43

Whereabouts are you going? <nosy>

QuintessentiallyQS Fri 27-Jun-14 13:30:44

Pack they old threadbare ones. They will take less space, and dry quicker.

ShoeWhore Fri 27-Jun-14 13:32:38

1 bath towel, 1 beach towel per person
1 hand towel per longhaired person
Do you need to take teatowels too?

1 bath towel each
1 beach towel each
3 x hair towels

And possibly a couple of hand towels, one for the kitchen & one for the bathroom.

So 13 in total grin

PrueDent Fri 27-Jun-14 13:37:19

I'd take a towel each for bath/shower. And a towel each for the beach.

PrueDent Fri 27-Jun-14 13:40:30

And now my phone is posting old messages. confused

Don't pack towels, OP. Look on it as an excuse to buy new ones.

BikeRunSki Fri 27-Jun-14 13:43:25

8 one each for shower, one each for beach.

CMOTDibbler Fri 27-Jun-14 13:49:08

I use microfibre turbans for my long hair - they dry out so quickly. I have one nice one (prob from Lakeland), but my swimming bag one was £1 from Superdrug.
DH would want a big towel, and then when packing I take 2 large terry nappy squares each for me and ds. You get dry efficiently with them and they dry easily.
We don't do any lying down on the beach though!

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 16:21:43

Going to Brixham. Please tell me it is sunny.

AtYourCervix Fri 27-Jun-14 16:22:47

Argh. Bedding! who thought this was a good idea? Is it too late to book all inclusive in somewhere hot and sunny?

juneau Fri 27-Jun-14 16:23:08

I would take eight. Four bath towels and four swimming towels.

juneau Fri 27-Jun-14 16:24:12

Oh and two hand towels (one for kitchen, one for bathroom), and a couple of tea towels.
