Anipalz- is it girly?

Ds, who's 8, wanted tamagochi thingys for xmas so I found thisin Argos. Fab i thought.
Thing is now I'm wondering if it is too girly (and it does say "G toys" on label). I don't want to trash his street cred. what do you reckon?
