To some people I would think it would seem a pretty expensive thing to just go and buy throughout the year and it will be a treat for them to have it at christmas.

If you can afford to buy expensive perfume all year round then it's hardly a treat to be given it at Christmas.

If you can't afford it, then it's obviously a treat and a nice gift to receive.

I find I'm always wanting presents that everyone else thinks are too dull. Like scented candles, I bloody love (nice) scented candles. Nobody ever gives them, because they've become a kind of by word for 'I couldn't think what to get you.'

I'd like a nice pen too - very much indeed actually. And bath stuff. And perfume.
