Hi there mums!!
We are celebrating our first Christmas as parents with 6 month old twins Levi and Eliza!
Want to give their grandparents a lovely gift of a calendar with their photos on. when googled it vista print seems to be coming out on top. Has anyone used them and are they any good. if not has anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks a lot

Lisa

I've ordered some from Vistaprint but not received them yet

I used a 'free' code but still had to pay things like tax and psotage so it costs about £9

Truprint have a good selection. I haven't bought calendars but have had previously had photobooks, mousemats, notebooks and all have been excellent.

I used photobox for a photo book and it wasn't anywhere near as good as Truprint.

I ordered calendars from Vistaprint last year. The quality is great and in my experience they turn up early. I ordered from Tesco Photo this year and what arrived was so bad that I got a refund and went to Vistaprint instead. Now just waiting. I think you'll still have time to order from them if you do it soon.

Hi - we've just used Snapfish for the second year in a row. They also came top of recent Which recommendations. They have a good range of sizes etc and are very easy to use. I did mine last Sun and it had arrived by Tues. HTH

Thanks a lot girls keep the replies coming. Am veering towards Vista print mainly because I will prob need at least 8 to keep all members of the family happy and the price is very reasonable!! Will check out snapfish too though.
Your opinions are invaluable

My mum has done some of my DC for their great grandparents, she used Vista and they arrived today.

She brought them round earlier, really good quality.

Hi. I've used snapfish now for three years, both for calendars and photobooks, really good quality and lots of little extras, including small pics on specials dates, and loads of personalisation details. They did have some special offers on.

have you got the total price on vista print? I've used them before nd they are good but I did find they cost more than they originally suggested.

I like truprint, theirs were half price earlier this week but don't know if they still are.

I have used vistaprint for 3 years now, never had a problem.
I also get 'business cards' from their free section to use as gift tags. I upload a pic of DD's and add a message, sorted!

we use a company called 'the rather nice company'. which i send photos to myself rather than upload as i am a technophobe. but i suspect you can do things electronically too. the quality is fine and the calendars usually come back within a week or two.
but they are probably more expensive at you'd be looking at about £12 a calendar i think.
it's a great idea though. we get one every year for my parents now.

I have just received one from Tesco - good quality and quick service. And Clubcard points.

Thanks for all your relpies ladies. Have finally completed my order for Vistaprint. The website is quite straight forward to use however do be aware that the prices change very frequently! i went back to my cart after adding a free mug and the prices had all gone up! I emailed them and received a swift response but then lost free delivery! Had to eventually call them on monday morning to sort it out and they were based in Jamaica!
All in all not a great customer experience but got 6 calendars, 2 mouse mats, 10 christmas cards, 2 mugs and a note pad all personalised for £45 so not bad. But do be aware that the price they quote is net of VAT which i think is a little bit naughty too. Will let you know what the quality is like when i get them

I've used Photobox - just prints and their small photobooks so far. 10% off with MN code. A bit disappointed with the quality of the printing in the small books but the regular prints were good, delivered quickly, site easy to use etc. Will have a look at snapfish and vistaprint now as they seem to be getting good reviews.

Can I piggy-back onto this thread and ask a question?

Do Photobox, Snapfish, Vista etc crop your photos and eliminate red eye or do they merely print them as they find them?

Cheers.

CremeDeMenthe · 16/12/2009 13:06

On snapfish, you import your pictures and can then crop them to suit the space on the calendar. Not sure about red-eye, sorry.
