Nursery Christmas Party - Special Clothes ?

DD's nursery are having a christmas lunch and party. We've been told that the children can "bring special clothes to change into if they wish".

I'm assuming by this they mean, fancy dress outfits?
DD (2.6) hasn't ever been bothered by fancy dress (we don't have any outfits and I really don't have time to make one.
But I don't want her to be the only one not wearing something special.
Was thinking of making some pasta jewellery with her to wear for the party.

Apart from this, does anyone else have any suggestions?

could be a party dress or dressing up I think - so does she have a favourite outfit you could send in? (preferably one you don't mind getting covered in party food!)

At DS's nursery it has previously meant party clothes (rather than fancy dress). Some of the girls want to bring in their pretty dresses, but DS is unworried about dressing up, so never does

Thanks for the replies.
Have previously tried to foist expensive party dresses on her and she wasn't having any of it!
So she can wear the Babarpap T-shirt I bought for her today - I know she'll love it
