Am contemplating sending mine to see his favourite sports team. Alas it's totally beyond my budget but am unable to think of anything that comes remotely close to being quite as impressive.

Socks - meh.
Tie - ditto.

HELP!

Mine normally says he doesn't want anything and I've taken him at his word. This year he's given me a long list!

So far have got:
Battlestar Galactica complete box set DVD
Various books (new ones from Terry Pratchett, James Ellroy, Nigel Slater, Alan Mallinson [sp?])

We have agreed not to get anything for each other this year. It's very freeing and I think we will probably spend the spare cash on a bottle of bubbly to have one evening.

at salad spinner

I don't have to get DH anything this year. He bought his xmas present himself a couple of months back - a nice little scope for birdwatching.

I don't have to get him anything next year either because today he went and bought a bigger one (with my full approval).

In case you're wondering, he's not compensating for anything, he's just got the time to use them now, and DD gets on with the scope better than binoculars too.

If he goes out now and gets one of those cameras with elephantine lenses, he's in big trouble though!

Might get dh some new trousers? As for dp have got him a tetris game (we're both obsessed ) a cd by Judy tzouk and also getting him a bottle of snaps to remind him of our break together in Spain last Month. We've spent up on holidays this year and also buying tent stuff so not going mad.

Oh and I'm seperated by the way but still get on well with dh.

Curiousmama · 09/11/2009 21:18

separated and the tetris game is some cube thing? Not sure what exactly but he'll laugh anyway.

I have been looking for some UFC tickets for dh but they don't seem to have an event in Jan. I've also looked at Green Day tickets - it is bil's birthday a few days before xmas so I can get him a ticket for that combined and one for my dh.

i've got him a book of tommy cooper jokes and a book on the titanic.
one of the beauties of working in a book shop is that it cost me considerably less than if i'd had to buy them from someone else.

i might also get him some socks if the budget stretches that far. (if it doesn't, i'll darn the holes in some of his existing pairs)

Golf shoes.

Maybe a book.

Probably a shirt.
