I am really struggling for ideas for my dd(10) this year I am not convinced she still believes in santa!I suppose it would be easier if she could just pick what she wanted. We already have the ds, wii, mobile phone, i pod and a bike she is not into HSM, or HMontana stuff. Any ideas what be very grateful. Thanks in advance

My 10 yr old DD is getting an (unrequested)iPod only because he was desperate to get himself one with more memory.

The other thing she knows about and is keen on is a boat construction kit and if she and DH do a good job on it she'll get the motor and radio control stuff for her birthday. Maybe that's not one for every girl!
(Her main pressie last year was chemistry set.)

err...Roller skates? Digital camera?

Would she still play along if you asked her for a christmas list?

My 10 yo still wants lots of stuff to play with physically as well as a new ds game, something for the wii etc.

I remember dh's neice wanting a new doll - think she was about 12 - so don't 'go all electronic' as my mum puts it (!) if you think she'd like more toy-y stuff instead.

My 9.5 year old wants "surprises". She's not very demanding. Last year she wanted "wood to make gravestones with".

I am thinking of things to do with art and craft as she does a lot of that, things like proper watercolour painting set and lots of good drawing/painting paper. Sewing kit (she would like a sew-your-own moose). Maybe a bit of Sylvanian families stuff too.

She would like a remote control boat construction kit, maybe in a year or two, and she likes science kits, and most art and craft activities as long as they are not pink or glittery or remotely girly.

Just like to say thank you very much for all your ideas they are very good.I think the bendaroos and the mirror are great ideas my dd would really be into that and anything arty she also mentioned the luxury soap science making kit as well.

My dd hates HSM and similar and would like some Converse boots. Sylvanian families stuff. Science kits. Books - especially Last Chance to See. A phone. She sounds very similar to Fennels dd apart from the gravestones bit
