And I am very Confused about it! Usually have a fair few things by now but not bought anything! My wish lists are rather full, and I know what I am getting the DDs but I just haven't got the cash atm.

Have DD1 birthday next month then I am hoping to get started!

How old are your dc's? There's no way I could buy anything yet as they change their minds so much and new things come out, they might not be into the same things in 5 months time?

When they were tiny I used to buy throughout the year but then it's not as fun when December comes and I have nothing left to buy.

I'd be having a major wibble if I hadn't bought anything yet! Grin

But my DC have November birthdays so I buy throughout the year and then split it all between birthdays and Christmas.

Yes, but it's July.

A Christmas tree is a Christmas tree all year, it would still be madness to put it up in July. Wink

Why? What's happening? That's what Christmas eve is for, isn't it?

Not piss taking no, this is the Christmas board - it's allowed here Wink

They will be 6 and 10 at Christmas Grin I've not seen anything for their big presents it's just little bits and books I've got in my wishlists Smile I like to be prepared

I have sorted my side of the family - but only because I buy them all panto tickets (family tradition and much enjoyed) and we have to buy them early to get front row tickets.

Everything else can wait until after October.

But a 6 year old will change their mind, go off stuff, go mad for other stuff, in nearly 6 months Confused

My 6yr old would be delighted with a couple of sticker books and some new play doh. I think I'll be ok Wink Grin

I haven't bought anything Christmassy yet (though if I see anything in HomeSense that would be good in my Christmas Cupboard , then I buy it).

I start buying in QVC Christmas in July (usually lights/decorations types)

Then in September, Costco bring in their Christmas stock.
Homesense start in November/end October

I buy stocking gifts from October.
DS birthday in December, so I buy from November.

Then December is random odd bits .

You have plenty of time, and that's from a seasoned Christmas-aholic Wink

I have a celebration coming up at the end of July so have bought:

5 x large scented candle tins reduced to 3:50 each from Sainsburys. Cotton Fresh scent for Female inlaws.

1 x cow bedtime torch @ 5:99 from Lidl.

setting
I buy the DC Stocking Gifts from October , the small, fun , useful bits that I don't want to spend more than £5 on and I certainly don't want to be finding in December.

My DC are 12 and 14.6 so their main presents are money and vouchers (their choice) so I give the stockings as fun things for Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve Hampers too. Primark in November looking for pj s or December Grin

When I go out to get the serious shopping, I have to go back to the car 2-3 times, I don't want to be carrying bags round. (Then cars pull up "Are you going"? "Not yet" - no get here earlier and you'll get parked Hmm )

What do i do in October and November time?

I am still buying for Christmas. but i am not having to buy everything on 2 wage packets (October and November)

I have got
2dc
5 dn/dnephews
3sils
1mil
DM and DF
DH
DBF
DBF 3dc

all to buy for. So yeah, i start now.

So far i have 1 nephews presents, my best friends little girls and some stocking fillers for mine. I prefer to spread the cost out than buy all in a panic when the prices have gone up.

In short then, you are being super organised and spreading the cost. Fair enough.
