Christmas

I Need to get organised

Every year I vow I'll shop and craft for Christmas throughout the year, and then every year if I manage to start by the second week in December then I'm doing well!

This week we discovered that I'm 9 weeks pregnant, due....22nd December! So I really don't have any choice but to spread it out throughout the next few months as much as I can, not only due to the extra expense (I've actually gotten rid of all of my baby stuff in the last three weeks having a massive clearout, can you believe!) but also if I'm not organised and leave it to the last minute I'm either going to be charging around shopping in the last week or two before my due date or desperately buying online and risking my little one catching the postie before I do lol!

I've two little ones, a five year old DD (will have just turned six at Christmas) and a two year old DS. I have a 'my first christmas' stocking that I'll pop a few useful bits in for No.3, ie a couple of bibs, socks, little teddy but that's as far as I'll go, it's just incase my DD wonders why a stocking wasn't left for him/her (if they've made an appearance!)

So, I need to find a secure hiding place here then I can begin!!

There's a bargain thread that I think Reastie does and it was amazing last year. It's already been started this year so look for that. Lots of places are having mid season sales with clothing toys etc, tkmaxx is great for bargains too.

Congratulations!! Thanks

congrats! Three of mine are mid to late December babies. I blame the easter bunny. I found that I had to get everything bought and wrapped by early October, so that around Christmas, the only thing to buy was food and drink. This tradition has continued to this day, even though two of the three are teens.
