Could you maybe make something? Pinterest has some great ideas.

Fruit bowl filled with cheap baubles (with the string cut off?).

I just bought a box of baubles from Wilkinsons for £5 to fill a couple of vases in the kitchen for a bit of festive cheer. Looks fab!

I have made my own in the past. Smallish but deepish bowl, buy some oasis and cut to fit bowl. Cut middle candle to fit church candle. Soak oasis in water until really wet, then put in bowl with candle. Then cut evergreens from garden and working round the oasis poke it all in until all the oasis is covered. Add ribbon or baubles or whatever as desired. (Although looks good with just evergreens too)

Oh and if making in advance best to store in a cool place and make sure you top up with water occasionally.

Go for a country walk and find some pine cones or teasels , spray them gold or silver ( Plasticote silver / gold extra spray is good )
Place in bowl .

Quite [tchsad] there are no woodlands really that I could get to by bus & the only thing in our garden to cut would be weeds [tchhmm]

I like the sound of those though, hopefully we're moving at the beginning of next year so will see about planting a holly bush maybe.

We have a gold fake twiggy/berry type garland across the table with white battery LED lights intertwined. Quick to do, safe and very attractive.
