My ds would like some tools for Christmas. Can anyone recommend any child sized ones that actually work?

Also, are there any kits you can buy that he could make with these tools please?

Thanks!

The Real Construction toys are great...the parts are soft wood stuff which children can easily deal with but they're just like wood in that they can make "real" things with them...it's not wood but something that looks like it and is tough-ish too.

You can get it on Amazon aswell.

I came on to recommend Kid Wood (Real Construction) too....My DS, 10, got some for Christmas and on Boxing Day I was ordering him some more! DD, 11, loved it so much she got some too. They have since had more tools for birthdays and have asked for more wood refils this Christmas. They have the whole set between them, except the nail gun, and there is nothing that I would not recommend. The models they build are durable too, from the leaflet, website and their imaginations.....I didn't honestly think it would be much good, but really it's fab - feels and sounds like real sawing/hammering, and no messy bits that I was expecting!
