Ours is waiting out in the porch to be discovered, having been delivered overnight. We'll watch An Elf's Story again and name him, then tonight he might try to climb onto DD's advent calendar, only to be caught in the act of pinching number 2 in the morning Smile. Wonder how long before this becomes a pain?!

Love this idea, but have I left it too late? Does he have to arrive on the 1st?

I've not managed to get one yet, hopefully ds doesn't realise it was supposed to be here already. He's only 2.5 though so I think I'll get away with it!
Ds has a wooden calendar so when it comes it'll be tryin to steal his choc coins. I don't think we will do the "you can't touch the elf or it'll die!!!" Thing he's going to touch it there's not much I can do to stop that happening, might get it to play Dhs ps4, we're all banned from touching it on pain of death, ds points at it and says "no! No me touch!" Naughty elf lol

Can arrive any time. This year ours arrived today, but last year arrived about the 7th.

Thanks :)
Was going to leave it, however, the might be DS1s last year of believing as he's 8.

Just had elf disaster Sad Dd2 switched on the computer and saw my typed out letter from Santa. She asked if I'd done it. I suggested elf had typed it out on our computer. She looked dubious!!

Our elf will be arriving later this afternoon once DH goes into the loft as i'm 32 weeks pregnant and not able to fit

He will appear after we've been for a walk with advent calendar, pj's and surrounded by glitter. DS is only 2 so doesnt really get it, but i'll have fun [tchsmile]

Have never done the elf thing before but this year have bought a special 'magic elf door' and we've been waiting for him to turn up! Will make an appearance this evening I think Grin
It's been so cute watching dd listen at the door.

Hmph. DD (3.9) has pointed out that elf has got labels on his back and a hard face, so he must be a toy. She's refusing to name him at the moment. I think she might be a bit freaked out by him.

Our Elf arrived this morning with the advent calendars and he also put a Christmas duvet and pillows on the DCs beds. They were more surprised by that than anything. He also spelt out 'I'm back' in green and red M&Ms on a plate. DS kept looking at the Elf sitting on his spot on the shelf and saying 'thank you' to him [tchgrin]

Now the DCs are asleep and the Elf has moved to sit on his own bike complete with helmet (dolls bike bought on ebay for 99p) next to the DCs bikes. Looking forward to the morning!

Your elf can come at any time. Ours always comes with St. Nick on the 6th. cuts down on the number of days you have to come up with ideas She's here long enough to be fun but not so long that it becomes a chore.

Our elf has been sent back to the North Pole Sad as DS was scared of him. He went upstairs when he found him in the fire place (bearing gifts of an advent calendar & Christmas fleecy blanket) & refused to come down until he'd gone.

Even though elf has gone back to help Santa he won't entertain his blanket but did munch chocolate number 1 from his calendar! [tchgrin]

Our elf arrived outside the front door with a little suitcase containing a letter from Father Christmas and brought the advent calendar. DD didn't really have a clue what was going on (she's 2 just after Xmas) but did like the little tree ornament in the advent calendar.

Very envious hearing about your elves. We move house on Friday so Elf will appear next weekend instead. Cant be doing with packing and worrying about a rogue elf! :)

Looking forward to the new hiding places and antics he can do in the new house. The girls did question where he was today as he usually comes with the advent calendars. Bad mummy didnt realise that id packed the Lego advent calendar with the christmas presents that have already been taken to my parents for safe keeping! Oops! Blush

Sadly our poor elf took an early exit last year too, although he lasted more than this year!!! Thought our DS (almost 4) would enjoy it as we watched the elf story DVD & talked about the possibility of our elf returning this year & he seemed excited about it.

DH says I've scarred him for life Sad

Elf arrived this morning with advent calendar. DD (7)has been cuddling him the entire day. She paired him off with a doll of hers and was playing them some songs and caterwauling singing along to them. She took him to bed tonight and I had a slight panic once she was asleep I couldn't find him, she'd snuggled him up next to a teddy in a dolls bed, phew.

He is now located above the kitchen doors, woven into some fairy lights.

On earlies tomorrow so DH will have to clean the sink!
