Oh god. This is the thread for me.

I spent 20 minutes searching for the sodding wrapping paper this evening.

It was down the side of DP's wardrobe, between it and the wall. Well hidden. Just in case you were wondering.

Perhaps the Jolly Christmas Postman is lurking there also?!

Oh shit. You've just reminded me I bought the Bloody Jolly Sodding Christmas Postman book too, and had completely forgotten about it let alone where I put it.

I'm only on MN at the moment because I have just remembered about the Bloody Elf on the Sodding Shelf and I've lost his letter...

Bah Humbug.

Tonight I found all the presents I didn't know I had lost [tchgrin] I found them because I was sodding well hunting high and low for the advent chocolates that I knew I had hidden but couldn't remember where. Of course, they're under the tea towels in the tea towel drawer….where else…??!

Sigh, I've lost half of the stocking presents. I've looked everywhere, no idea what super safe place I've stashed them in!

I do this - hide them somewhere safe and then forget and then spend the whole of December - re-buying the gifts only to find the original ones stuff in the bottom of the linen basket...

This year I am ahead of myself and wrapped them so I know that they are bought, wrapped but not yet despatched...

DD had to have one of her birthday presents two days late as I'd put it somewhere "safe". In the meantime, I'd had to borrow the present from a friends' daughter!
I spent ages yesterday searching for the Christmas bedding. That had had to be particularly well hidden as I'd hidden it from DP as well as the DC. The good news about that hunt was that, whilst looking for it, I found MIL's present which I'd stashed somewhere I wouldn't have thought of looking and found a present for DS that I'd completely forgotten buying!

Would it help to store the location of the gifts in a password protected file on pc/laptop/phone? It might save a lot of faffing around in the long run, I.found a bag of clothes which I.bought for my neices bday 2 years ago. Obviously they are too small for her now so I have saved them for my dd when she is a bit older.

Hee Hee, I store the stocking pressies in a carry on size suitcase under my bed with a combination lock on it, when it's full I know the stocking will be full too :)

Did have a last min panic over the personalised 'x days to xmas' wall plaque I got from eBay a few weeks back, (a) forgotten about it completely and (b) when remembered at midnight, then couldn't remember where I'd put it (under a pile of summer clothes in my drawers as it turns out)

I had a last-minute where-the-feck-is-the-elf panic last night, but found it in the end. And the letter. Could I find the fecking elf door though? Nope! Waste of a fiver.

last night it took me twenty minutes to find the sellotape, gift tags and a pen. that's before I started trying to find the presents. I was ok for paper though as I found the two rolls I'd lost from Christmas 2012. Blush doh!

I have no presents. Yet. Dh had ordered an x box for the boys. (Not the new £400 one!!)
I need a few stocking fillers. That's it.

The thing DD wants THE MOST is somewhere in the wardrobe. Somewhere safe.
Guess who's emptying the whole wardrobe later on?

I thought I was so organised too, I've got everything I bought on a spreadsheet and I checked it all the other day, but this book has escaped me somehow.

On the plus side, I've just found the kindle cover I ordered for my mum (which had also gone AWOL) in my dd's bedroom. Although slightly worried as to how it got there.

I think I know where most of the presents are hidden. My problem is that I have a 3 year old sleep refuser who sometimes passes out in the armchair or not or goes to bed with me. I work full time. When will I ever be able to wrap presents?

I plan on separating family gifts from the rest. I can wrap the rest on a weekend with kids about. I can wrap DH/DS/DD1's presents with DD2 about. But hers?

I thought it was only me that did this!

Last year I completely forgot about the tesco bargain Barbies I bought for my DDs. I found them in January and put them somewhere safe. Where that safe place is I don't know. I've been looking for them on and off for the last couple of months.

I'll probably find them in January sigh.

Advent Tree (it has a little cupboard with 24 doors containing a tiny decoration)
And a little tree on a music stand to hang them on.
I've got chocolate bars with advent wrappers (Lakeland Limited)

DH is going up in the attic later (he put it away last year)

Where oh where have I kept the rubber suction caps for holding up the Xmas window lights from last year? The fact they are transparent is not helping matters.

We are partially of Scandinavian descent so we celebrate St.Nick's day as well as Christmas. St. Nick usually brings some sweets and a few small toys/activities. I usually put all the St. Nick stuff in one bag so it's all together. Well, do you think I can find that bag? Nope. And St. Nick is supposed to come Wednesday night.

Also, I'm not entirely sure where my bag of stocking fillers is either. Probably hanging out with the St. Nick stuff.
