There are so many threads on what to get DCs/aged relatives for Christmas, I thought I would start one with our Christmas wish lists - fantasy or otherwise!

This is the place to be extremely materialistic and share what you would like Santa to bring you this December 25th.

After world peace blah, blah, blah, I would like the following:

A nice watch (haven't had one for years)
An appointment to get my 'colours' done
Sheepskin slippers
Some new running trainers
Riding lessons
Some nice skin care products and make up
Paperchase stationary
A shopping spree for new clothes on the back of having my colours done

I am never in million years expecting all of this, maybe one or two things if I'm lucky! I also like surprises/little bits and bobs too.

What is on your crimbo list this year? smile

The day off work. And I have got my wish.....first one in 3 years. Dinner at fancy restaurant booked I'm having the day completely off!!

Hmm world peace
Health and happiness
Right, now the good stuff;

City break for me and dh
New clothes
Money for a holiday abroad with the kids
Chocolate
Voucher for tony and guy monthly
Lots of nice craft and cake decorating stuff
Lots of cake!

That'll do. What a fab Christmas that would be!

CuppaSarah Thu 10-Oct-13 18:41:59

Chocolate
Roasties
Christmas Biscuits
Roast Turkey and Stuffing
Lots of Gravy
Jellytots
Munchies

And the ability to eat whatever I want without gaining weight.

A pretty ring grin
A KMix (or Kitchnaid)
Harry Potter Lego Hogwarts Castle grin

Erm... Just something on time, under the tree without telling what it is first would be nice tbh

Gift vouchers for clothes shops. I never treat myself and vouchers would force me to go out and buy nice things for myself.

madmomma Thu 10-Oct-13 18:50:12

I get fuck all too SAHM It sucks doesn't it?

I just buy myself whatever I want and give it to my eldest to wrap. At least that way I get summat decent rather than tat.

hmm fantasy time,
A holiday to go see the northern lights and go snowboarding.
A shiny fancy red horsebox
Posh jods and riding coat
Some leather flat knee high boots.
My garden to be sorted, currently a pile of rubble cause weve been doing the house.
Clothes lots and lots of clothes from very posh designer shops smile

DP to propose... but I've been waiting for that for years...

So maybe some clothes instead

I would like:
* Some jammies (Legging jammy bottoms that cost all of £5 from Primark and a top that vaguely matches, ideally)
* A pair of Joules wellies (So I can take DS on lots of walks in all weather cause I don't drive)
* A new pot of No7 day cream
* A lie in/break from having to do all the childcare
* Nice chocolate

In Fantasy Land:
* An iPad Mini (DP has one envy)
* DC2
* A Dyson
* New sofas for new flat
* Free reign in Ikea to kit out living room/DS's bedroom/Kitchen/ALL THE STORAGE SOLUTIONS!.
* A winning lottery ticket

Aww Becky!

YouAreMyFavouriteWasteOfTime Thu 10-Oct-13 19:03:00

the rowing machine DP was supposed to get for me last year.

this year: I have the room for it to go in, but it needs kitting out as a gym.

I would like one thing, just one....for the IVF I'm having in December or January to actually work.

springthorn Thu 10-Oct-13 19:04:37

Anything that's not smellies or chocolate. Every year I get these from the inlaws even though I've tried to tell them I have sensitive skin and don't have a sweet tooth!

Fantasy list:
New kitchen
New bathroom
Loft conversion
Car (any car, not fussed)
Marriage proposal!

fuzzpig Thu 10-Oct-13 19:04:50

Ah, new jammies. We've done the Xmas eve pjs for the DCs for a few years now, last year I decided "I want in on that" and got myself some Dumbo trousers from asda... and glow in the dark ghostbusters trousers for DH grin

Looking forward to choosing some more this year... also choose my own underwear (we all get some character ones in our stockings)

Kasterborous Thu 10-Oct-13 19:04:55

A weekend to myself

Rosvita Thu 10-Oct-13 19:13:04

Actual list-
Money to add to my savings towards big family holiday may use some to fritter away on things I 'like'
Perfume
Trollbead charm
Jewellery box

A new kindle cover perhaps and photo cover for my phone. Wouldn't mind an iPad but not needed really as use my phone for most things.

Fantasy list-
House redoing (needs ventilation/condensation issue sorting out then redecorating) or failing that, new house altogether
Family holiday paid for
New car

This is lovely! But I really want to invite sahm to Christmas with us and shower her with presents. And also have LauraS and let her sit on the sofa all day with G and T.

Anyway:
A bright green becksondergard scarf with stars on
A gold dragonfly necklace
A bright yellow leather handbag

ShadeofViolet Thu 10-Oct-13 19:29:12

I would love a brooch I have seen in the Amnesty catalogue, and a copy of Antonia Fraser's 'Perilous Question'. Also some Neals Yard handcream.

On my fantasy list would be a night off with DH. Haven't had one for nearly 6 years because of DS2 (who has SN) and not having anyone to leave him with. Am counting down the 3 years til DS1 is 15 and we may actually get to leave DS2 with him grin

RhondaJean Thu 10-Oct-13 19:40:09

I genuinely have no idea what I want. Even in the realms of fantasy.

Is that good or bad?

Rosvita Thu 10-Oct-13 19:44:13

Ooo and a dyson!

chicaguapa Thu 10-Oct-13 19:45:30

Kindle Paperwhite + case
Boden loungewear
Leather hobo bag
Winter coat from Pepperberry

I'll get one of those, but I'd like all 4 blush

I never really get anything much as I spend all my birthday money (week before Xmas) on other people and all our paycheck on the food and festivities. So there isn't anything much for my husband to use for a gift for me. If I could have anything I would ask for:-

Some good books.
chocolate orange
a nice sweater
money to go sales shopping
a beautiful piece of jewellery that I genuinely love - genuine art deco sapphires and diamond bracelet perhaps.

I will probably get slippers or some other panicked gift like the frying pan, apron, kitchen knife that have all appeared in previous years. Something weird and random from my in laws, and whatever I buy myself from pressie money from my family. Christmas is all about the kids really, isn't it? :/

marriedinwhiteisback Thu 10-Oct-13 20:08:00

I would like:

A nice pearly or crystal pinkish necklace from Penelope Red
Some really lovely smellies
A long line cashmere jumper

Fantasy Presents: that someone, one day will actually go and get me what I would like rather than buying me a load of stuff that isn't to my taste and that they jolly well should know isn't to my taste (Yes you mother).

Oh, and in the land of true fantasy an Asprey Handbag - it was soooo beautiful I googled it and thought to myself "you know, I would spend £500 on that (It was £8,000) - I clearly have taste. And a Pre-Raphaelite painting grin and the latter is truly and utterly out of the question. Although DH would be more minded to buy me an appreciating asset rather than a depreciating asset grin

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 10-Oct-13 20:10:52

Lurking for ideas
I'll be on mat leave by then.

Rubber floor mats for my car

Yankee Candle car jars

Lush Ocean Salt -- <3 this stuff, but hard to justify a regular purchase at £7 a pot

A Babyliss Big Hair -- I still can't bring myself to buy it, in spite of the hype on here, but if it were a gift, I would be totally grateful smile

Amazon and Google Play gift cards -- so I can update my music

Some new makeup

A chance to go shopping sans children!
