How far in advance can I make red cabbage and sausage rolls?

At christmas I will b two weeks away from my due date. I am trying to get as much food made in advance as possible.

So far I have made chutney, Piccalilli and pickled onions.

My Christmas cake is in the oven as we speak hopefully not burning

Stir up Sunday is Nov 24th and I'm not convinced I will feel like making a pudding that far into my pregnancy so I may have to resort to shop bought for that!

I have two jars of mincemeat in the cupboard from last year and may make some more next weekend.

Whatever I am going to make, I need to do it now. So how long will spiced red cabbage and unbaked frozen sausage rolls keep for?

Anything else I can make now and pop in the freezer?

The saus rolls will be fine if done now, not too sure about the red cabbage but I'd say it would be fine frozen now. Likewise for the pud- there's no law that it has to be done on stir up Sunday infact if you do it now it will have more maturing time and will be extra yummy!

Yes, sausage rolls and red cabbage will be fine from now if frozen.

Stuffing also works well if frozen. gingerbread stuffing works well when frozen.

cabbage will definitely be fine, I always think it's better after freezing, like curry! I'll be doing a big batch this week. As well as for Christmas, I defrost the occasional pot and put in a shepherd's pie with the end of a sunday roast. Yum!

Well not sure but last weekend I found a tub of red cabbage in the freezer from last Christmas I defrosted it and we had it with our Sunday dinner and it was delicious! So that's nearly 9 months, I'd say you'd be fine to make it now!
