Hi curious! We're at the same stage here!

DS loved polar express last year!

I personally adore- home alone, miracle on 34 th street, jingle all the way, muppets Christmas carol and Christmas with the kranks.

Obsessed with Christmas moi? ... Maybe!

Another big vote for the Polar Express.

The Grinch who stole Christmas. I hate it, the kids love it.

Disney's Christmas Carol or the one with Albert Finney and "Obi-One-Kenobi". I love it, the kids hate it.

Muppets Christmas Carol.

Personally grew up hating White Christmas on the basis it wasn't Christmassy until the last 15 mins. At some stage in my life something clicked and now I just love it. So do the kids.

Not Bad Santa.

Oooooo umlouf nativity is brill. Really catchy songs that annoy the hell out of DH! "Things are really coooool. In Nazareth" you seen the second one?

Umlauf · 05/09/2013 12:58

No I haven't, I'm a bit scared to as it had such bad reviews and I live the first one soooo much. Maybe this Xmas ill watch it, is it okay?

The songs are amazing, I have the soundtrack and have them in my head all year round! And me and and DH quote bits to each other all the time.

"You might like this, you might not. It's dancing!"

Yet another vote for Polar Express. We got it for Christmas eve last year, all snuggled down to watch it with popcorn. DD (just 3) was transfixed for the entire movie, first time ever. She then asked for it every day afterwards for about a month. DH and I enjoyed it too (first time round!) :)

DD ADORES Home Alone, and quite likes HA2. (We've never watched 3 and 4, and I don't intend to in this lifetime).

She is also a big fan of the whole "The Santa Clause" series (with Tim Allen), but especially the first 2. And Polar Express.

I love Miracle on 34th Street (both versions - but especially the recent one as DD resembles the little girl a lot, especially when she has a bobbed' haircut!!).

I want to get both The Grinch (animated) and The Nightmare Before Christmas this year (even if only rented) Never seen either. And I saw a Shrek Christmas dvd recently that I might pick up (DD is a great fan of Shrek in general).

I like Christmas with the Kranks, and I can never remember the names but there are a few that I never remember the names of that are not big hits but nice feel good seasonal movies.

But we are big fans of both movies and the Christmas season.

umlauf I went to the cinema expecting to be dissapointed but I thought it was great. It was good that it was a completely different story (bit ridiculous in parts) but they still mentioned stuff that happened in the first one so it's not like 'where such n such' everything gets explained which I like.

Dds love "barbie perfect Xmas"...its brilliant! The music is soooo catchy we actually got the cd too!

Barbie in a Christmas carol is good.

They also love home alone, the grinch, elf, miracle on 34th street, nativity, Arthur Christmas. This year "frozen" will be released so excited for that.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned "It's a wonderful life" fabulous film and shows you the true meaning of Christmas.

I also love "Deck the halls" with Danny Devito, hysterical.

National Lampoon's Christmas vacation is also a favourite in our house.

I'm a big fan of all the made for tv cheesy christmas movies that are on channel 5, movies 24, true movies etc... They are on all the time from end November.

DH and I love "It's a Wonderful Life". We could not for the life of us get 5 year-old DSD to watch it, though. Now that she is 7, she might be more into it.

"A Muppet Christmas Carol" was a hit with her. Also "The Santa Clause". She loves "Barbie Perfect Xmas", DH and I hate it. She liked Jim Carrey's "Grinch", but I'd rather she read the book.

I picked up "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "A Christmas Story" last year. These were old favorites of mine, so gonna test drive them on DSD this year.

Oh yes, DH and I love National Lampoon too. Arthur Christmas was excellent. And actually, I'm not sure if DSD has ever seen Elf. Will have to remedy that...

Really, we are just big cheesy Christmas fools.
