Special festive title for spottyteacakes grin . Here we go people, the THIRD bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already <feels slightly overorganised> . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous grin

Be careful with amazon when looking for lego friends. They seriously up the rrp of items to make them look much cheaper! The cafe has never been more than £30 in argos. Still a good discount though!

I got a standard response of we are calculating stock availability when I asked for a more age appropriate gift. not sure what to do now as the clothed are nice but they have really naffed me off with emails saying we will get back to you and never do

Vertbaudet are really annoying me. They sent the hideous sports bag instead of the toolkit. Then they told me that the toolkit was back in stock and they'd send it to me. I received another sports bag! I asked them what's going on and they've told me that I wasn't eligible as the codes should not have been leaked. I've told them that their ordering system and customer service is a disgrace.

Whoever was looking for Lego Friends bargains, City park cafe on Amazon for £23·99, reduced from £41·18.

Thanks giddy. I've replied saying that 'my friend' got a gift on a new account wink probably won't get anywhere!

GiddyStars Sat 24-Aug-13 15:18:17

Sorry Spotty that's rubbish sad

You should push them on that because I did two orders. One was in my name (I think I have ordered a couple of times before, already had an account) which arrived today with the toolkit. The second I opened a new account in husbands name so and that was the one they substituted for the bag...I sent an email questioning the age appropriateness of the gift and they rang when I was out and spoke to DH. Apparently the conversation went along the lines of "Hello, it's Vertbaudet can we talk to you about your order?" DH: "I think you want GiddyStars..." V: "No, you sent us an email...do you know anything about the email?" DH: "Errrrrrrrrr. No." I may have signed it from him blush Anyway, they rang back later and that was when they offered me substitute which shows as on the way, but his order and bag arrived today anyway. But definitely a new account so they shouldn't be treating people with different rules, that makes me really angry

Elc having a 50% off bank holiday sale. Seen lots of cars/trucks etc between £1-2. Still a delivery charge though and cant seem to find a code.

ratbagcatbag Sat 24-Aug-13 14:35:12

Wow it was only £1 for both sets - that's two awesome presents there then. smile

Bought loads of great books today from The Book People so thanks again for the codes!

My reply from vertbaudet:

Thank you for your recent email.

I am pleased to inform you that the order is being processed in our warehouse and will be despatched shortly.
If you are registered for MY ACCOUNT, you can track your orders online at www.vertbaudet.co.uk.

Upon further investigation, we note you were not eligible to receive the free gift, this promotion was issued to existing customers of Vertbaudet, however, this is your first order.

Please note we have applied the 16% discount to the order.

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I hope this information is helpful. If you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us back.

Boo! Missed them, then sad

Thanks anyway!

lucamom Sat 24-Aug-13 14:22:33

Wow - I bought those as teacher gifts last year - think it was around £12 a set!

ratbagcatbag Sat 24-Aug-13 14:12:51

Think I've just got a fab bargain, dropped in tons of stuff to charity shop and took it through to the back as so much.

They had some l'occitane Shea mini tubes, in stunning box for dry hands and feet in a set, and there were two sets. Brand new £1 shock
