batman dvds

I cant see why a Batman Cartoon would be a 5 and its a cheap box set deal, I think he is too little for the real batman films?

If you read the description, some are cartoon versions of the same 'universe' as the latest films.

I think each one will be individually certificated- check imdb for each title?

I can't easily do this from my phone, but I would suggest looking it up on other sites (eg Amazon) and reading the reviews. It might be that most of the collection is a PG and only one thing in it is rated 15.

Thanks both - I have just done that, there are 2 12s, 1 15 and 2 PGs, I have found it on Amazon for £8.50, I think I will get it an watch them first, I will def take the 15 rated one away thats for sure, he is a very young 5 and has never been allowed to watch anything but CBeebies really, but now he is in reception, he is beginning for Batman and Spiderman (sob he is growing up).

If I think it is unsuitable having watched it - then I can just put it away again until he is much older.

I am looking for something because my sister has just bought him the Imaginex Batcave and he has no terms of reference for it.

I did this with SG1 and my twelve year old. The first few episodes are all a PG or 12, but the box set is rated 18 because of one scene. I found out which scene it was and let him watch all of it except that scene.

I have seen most of those Batman animated movies and I would say the ratings are pretty spot on.

Animation does not equal childish. These are mature and dark Batman animations. Definitely more aimed towards teens and adult Batman fans.

For something more age appropiate I would look for a box set of the Batman Animated Series from 1992.

for any DVDs/films/TV shows/games/apps we always check with
//www.commonsensemedia.org - just type batman in the box at the top and scroll through the millions til you get the one you want info on..
they have all the info - including swearwords used, sexy scenes inappropriate themes, drinking, smoking, drugs, etc - always worth a look...

thank you -

if you roll mouse over the green headings - violence, swearing etc, it gives which violent acts are performed, which swearwords are used - sometimes it is just words like "damn" or "Hell", but it matters to some ...
