Christmas

Wooley (and Tig)

Has anyone come across online or store that are selling the spider character Wooley from Wooley & Tig? My youngest DD is very keen on them and I thought I would get one for her this Christmas (and I can't stop humming the tune absentmindedly at work, which is awkward, when outed by another parent)!

No but I'm looking for one too. I looked on cbeebies and they say that they have no merchandise avaliable for the program yet :(
I know my ds would adore one. I've been looking online for something similar but no joy yet. If I have any luck I will let you know x

Ooooh Something I can answer. My Dd was desperate for a 'woolley' spider.
Ebay is your friend. There is a lady I bought a knitting pattern from who also sells the ready made spider. I will see if I can do a linky.

If you know a fab knitter then the pattern was a few quid, I think the ready made spider was auctioned and sold for about £12,

Will report back, :)

This is the only one I could find, doesnt look as good as the pattern one, I will upload a photo of Dd's when I get it from my Mums.

Ok, scrap the last paragraph above. If I'd spelt it correctly in the first place i would have found loads!! type Woolly and Tig spider and loads of handmade ones come up, not cheap though :O

Loads and loads on ebay but they are quite pricey, lots of interest in them because cbeebies (I think) are yet to cash in on it and make official ones.

My DCs love Zou on Disney but there's no official toys, just an ebay seller who knits them and I saw one go for £50 Hmm

it happens with everything on cbeebies. Last year there was a huge market in knitted Abney and Teals. DD1 would love a Woolly too.

I'm looking for wooley too Grin, dd2 also likes alphablocks but they dont have toys either Sad.

I've still to make DS1 his Abney doll. (The commercial ones that finally came out this summer weren't great and quite pricey.) No Tree Fu Tom toys either. I'd have thought a Tree Fu Tom costume would sell like hot cakes. They're really missing a trick. Sad

I saw one on my local gumtree the other day but it wasn't a local phone number... Just did a search and found lots of results from same person. Looks quite nice. :)

Ha, I was right. hot cakes I'm not sure about the quality either, for that price, but there are dozens of other ones in varying degrees of quality. You have to admire the way they've all got around naming Tree Fu Tom in the listing titles! Grin

Thank you so much everyone for such lovely and helpful responses. I have been clicking on the many links, thank you. Good to know I am not the only one and that eBay and FB can save the day. Having seen one knitted by Iwantacampervan and had a lovely PM from her, I am going to put my order in with her tonight and hope she can fit me in before Christmas. x

I got a great one on eBay for £25, was worried it would be crap but it looks like the "real" wooly.

I'll go get the sellers name.

My mom makes woolleys she made the pattern up herself and it's not far off the one on eBay. She sells her for £10 and that includes postage or if you live near and can collect £6.50

I can't believe the prices on eBay

I have a Facebook page with pictures of all the characters we can do lots of cbeebies. Just search lozboz crafts
