We're not going to be in our house over Christmas, we're going to my parents on the 22nd and not coming back until at least Jan 2 it depends on how long we last My mum's house will be all decorated and Christmassy, I'm wondering if I should bother putting up my tree or just wait until I get to my parents'.
What do you think? By the way I have 2 small DC (4 and 2)

No, I don't have a real tree, I have one that I bought a few years ago, and it is true that the DC would enjoy helping to put it up. I thinkk I'm just being lazy, thinking it's a lot of hassle when we're not even going to be here for the big day.
I think I probably am being a bit mean in not wanting to put it up for my DC.

yes you should, decorating the tree etc is part of the run up to christmas and will get them excited that Santa is nearly coming

I would, aside from anything else a treeless house may indicate you are absent for anyone checking out houses to break into over the festive season...

I would, the kids will enjoy it :) Do it early on and make the most of the pretty lights! Mine is going up next Saturday, it's dark at 4, might as well have some pretty lights to cheer the place up!!

Yeah, we'll put it up. I love Christmas, especially now I have my DC, just feeling a bit lazy lately. Will get it out in a couple of weeks, the DC will excited, especially the eldest.

Thanks everyone
