3 yo DD would like - to quote "the Beatles and a Magical Mystery Tour Bus. Ringo has a pink top".

Can anyone help with this?!

What are your children's strange requests, and what have you bought to fulfil them?

Thats funny - my dd is 9 and asked if I could afford a private concert with Paul McCartney at our local hall! Ummmm - no! I can't!

DD (5) asked for tomato ketchup for her birthday Grin , so we got it for her!

DD has no idea, but when pressed by an elf said she would like a balloon. So that's relatively easy...

DS, in contrast, wants everything that is ever featured on any advert during children's television.

2 years ago DS met FC at a fair thing and asked for....a cow Hmm

we got a toy cow for his stocking just in case he remembered!

Now it's everything off every advert, even the real tat or girly stuff, he doesn't care!

DD is 3.5 and hasn't reached the I Want phase with toys yet.

When I was maybe 6ish my neighbour asked me what I wanted, and I very specifically asked for a red ring binder with a dinosaur on the front Hmm

Said neighbour couldn't find one (goodness knows where I got the idea from anyway!) - so she gave me a red ring binder and put a cuddly dinosaur on the top!

Sad thing is I think that's the best present I got as a child, as this neighbour had actually thought about what I'd like!

DD3 has been telling my mum that she wants "aliens like dd1's" but we couldn't work out what it was as dd1 doesn't have any aliens, turns out she meant sylvanians!

DD decided a couple of years ago that she wanted a camel. It could live in our garden too. She was very disappointed to get a cuddly toy one. Bad mum Smile

DS (3) wants "a car with doors that open". He asked for a car for his birthday too, and for last Christmas. He's easy to please! I found a pack with 4 cars with doors that open in John Lewis.

When I was a kid, I asked for Tippex one year. My mum was given an old typewriter that I loved to play with but made mistakes so obviously needed Tippex.

We have a chimney, but no fire place, she must be worried he'll not come this year

DD once asked for some very big nails.

FC provided (with a little help from Dad).

I think they are still in her toolbox, waiting for her to move on from small random wooden items to, erm, maybe start building a full size house or something. But no doubt they will come in helpful one day Grin
