Any ideas where I can buy a good quality (already painted) Russian Doll set? John Lewis only have "paint your own" or Christmas themed ones, and I want a classic set for DD (5).

Thanks.

These are lovely I think, we bought a Christmas set a few years ago from here but they have lots of others.

Our ones are of really good quality.

Paperchase had some in last year-they were lovely and very good quality though not expensive.

Otherwise these sites have some:

Thanks dichotomy. The wilkos ones unfortunatley are ceramic, which will last about a minute with my clumsy oaf darling DD! But thanks anyway, all these tips are great.

Can I just say I love your website?

I love being able to buy gifts for people which aren't the usual mass produced crap!

Does anyone know if the Russian Shop is still open in Holborn? We got ours there when I was a kid...really special trip to get it, and we were allowed to choose each individual doll Smile

Oh, sadly not - I don't think so, anyway - the one we went to only sold gifts and toys. It was about 25-30 years ago Sad

But thankyou for trying! Smile

Your website is lovely - we had a six piece classic set, I now only have the huge Babushka (about 8/9 inches tall) and a couple of her babies!

They all had names

Babushka

Miata

Vasilisa (of course!)

Fnoushka

Tatiana

and Malinka

Wow, can you actually remember those names from your childhood?! That's impressive! :)

Have you tried ebay? There was loads on there when I looked. DD aged 3 loves russian dolls so I was looking for christmas but her aunty brought her a massive one back from Russia, the exact same one as ggirl linked. Hope she didn't spend that much on it though!
