How to add an About page to your blog

Why add an About page to your blog? As The American Resident explains, an About page doesn't have to be all 'me, me, meeeee'. It can be a good way of letting people know what your blog focusses on, confirming who you are and connecting with potential new readers.

Remember, if you're blogging anonymously, don't enter too much personal information. If you're using your real name to blog, you may want to add a profile picture

How to add an About page in Blogger

Find the 'Pages' section, and click 'New page'. Then fill in the title (About this blog) and add the details you want people to know about you. You may want to add an image.

When you're finished, press 'Preview' to make sure the page looks right. When you're happy with the page, hit 'Publish.'

You can choose where your 'About me' page appears on your blog. To do this, go back to ‘Pages’ and click ‘Show pages as’. Decide whether 'About me' displays in your sidebar or at the top of your blog. Remember to press ‘Save arrangement’ once you’re happy.

If you are using custom HTML for your blog, your pages may not display as you want them to. Here's Blogger's advice for custom template users.
