Here we go ladies...this really IS it for us all!

woody17 Tue 25-Sep-12 20:05:02

Hope you are ok raspberryandicecream - I'm finding pregnancy announcements very hard at the moment, both in RL and by celebrities, which is completely irrational! I am also fed up of being told that when I do have a baby, it'll be worth the wait!

Sorry to hear about your car dulcetmoans

Blockette I've found that the mumsnet ov calculator gives me different fertile days to the what to expect fertility app that I've downloaded! The mumsnet one has worked for me in the past.

I love wagamama lol hope you get a good night's sleep

Thanks for starting the new thread nicola - fx this will be the thread for us all.

I'm with you on the celebrity thing, Woody. The other day Metro seemed to have a double page spread about various sodding celebrity babies / pregnancies. :-(

Here's hoping we all fall soon. x

A quick jump in to mark myself on the thread - thanks Wood i'll have a look at the mn one, might poas in the morning just incase smile

See you all tomorrow!

letskiwithisthing Tue 25-Sep-12 20:57:57

Hi ladies can't believe we're onto thread 7! Hope this is the last one chatting about conception for us all - meant in the nicest pssible way of course! Next stop antenatal threads hopefully!!!

Sorry you're down lol it's so hard sometimes! Sounds like you are still getting plenty of action nic! Talking of celebs, I hear Shakira is pregnant lucky thing!

4dpo over here and had nothing out of the ordinary so far! I always feel so hopeful around ov time and then it just dwindles away during the 2ww sad

Lolcbcblemonlime Tue 25-Sep-12 21:05:50

Hello smile
Feel sleepy after noodles and beer...

DulcetMoans Tue 25-Sep-12 21:05:52

I thought it was quiet over there!

PuppyMummy Tue 25-Sep-12 22:12:09

just checking in to keep my place! this month has been disrupted by not dtd due to oh sperm test (typical it would fall when I ov) so prob out already for this cycle.

letskiwithisthing Tue 25-Sep-12 22:50:16

On that's bad timing for you puppy - will you catch any of your fertile days?

PuppyMummy Wed 26-Sep-12 06:29:58

possibly but prob not in reality! we left 3 days so dtd on cd7 then stopped on cd8,9,10 and dtd cd11 again - I had positive opk on cd9...

I know its possible but given that for last 7 cycles we have pretty much dtd every day over that time and not caught it I'm not hopeful for 2 days!!

Fx you're lucky though, Puppy. :-)

DTD last night...no surge yet, so will do it again tomorrow night.

letskiwithisthing Wed 26-Sep-12 07:10:22

Fx its the month you least expect that gives you the BFP puppy!

Nic so jealous of your time off work looming! Could do with a few weeks off right now, this weather is not helping my mood in the mornings grin

5Dpo today and feeling a bit bloated which I get every month - I'm so desperate for something out of the ordinary to happen but know its not common to feel symptoms quite so early! Temps have risen, but not as much as I would have liked as barely above my coverline! Time is going so slow!!!

I can't wait for 2 weeks off :-) Almost more than the wedding itself, ha ha! Only 10 working days left.

I hate the 2WW. I'm hoping that this cycle I'll be too busy to think about it much. What is your temp meant to do if pregnant, lets?

I'm surprised to not have a surge as I have pain in my ovaries. We shall see what happens, I suppose!

letskiwithisthing Wed 26-Sep-12 07:29:27

Haha I had 3 weeks off for mine and it was fab!

It's supposed to be higher during the luteal phase:
- if you are pg, it will stay high
- if you are not pg, it will drop back down by CD1 and you may also get a few other temps below the cover line during the 2ww!

Some ppl also have an implantation dip between 5-10DPO(ish) I'm no expert but have picked up things on FF smile

It all sounds far too complicated for me! Fx though :-)

I initially had 3 weeks, but had to chip away at it for one reason or another :-(

Two weeks will still be awesome though!

Lolcbcblemonlime Wed 26-Sep-12 08:12:56

I can't get my head around temps either. Opk complicated enough for me!

Hello all. I wonder if it's ok for me to keep following this thread? As a fellow #1-er it really is one after my own heart and I'd love to see how you all get on.

kNic am also jealous of your time off!

No problem, Thunder :-) Good to keep familiar faces around!

RaspberrysAndIcecream Wed 26-Sep-12 14:33:53

Hi guys!! Day 22 in raspberrys house & still no peak!! DtD anyway tho!! Lol!!

Woody the thing that really bugs me at the moment (iabu) is the countdown things on Facebook - it's like so and so is 16 weeks pregnant and this is what the baby is doing now & ALL status updates are about being pregnant, nothing else, just pregnancy - I know that they are excited but life doesn't stop just because they're pregnant. I am hereby promising that I will not stop posting random stuff just because I'm pregnant (infact is it a bit odd that I don't want to put it on there at all??!!) I hope that you're doing ok, rant away if u want to - I just have!! Sorry!!

Thundercats

RaspberrysAndIcecream Wed 26-Sep-12 14:38:20

Posted to soon!!

Thundercats - pop in & see us!! :-) and I like ur name - it makes me smile & want to sing the thundercats theme tune - thundercats are on the loose, thundercats are loose!! Love it!! Lol!!

Not long now Nic - I loved my time off after the wedding - it was fab!!! :-) I think I put on about half a stone on honeymoon!! Food was amazing!! :-)

peardrop2 Wed 26-Sep-12 15:33:04

Waving to ladies on new thread <pear wave>! Raspberries I feel the same about Facebook and pregnancy or baby pics. Someone posted a wonderful link the other day which can be used to block baby photos!! My friend just posted a photo of her child saying Happy 9months today! :-) not sure why 9 months is such a biggie but perhaps it's a milestone known to all mothers?! Anyway DH and I have decided that at no point we will mention pregnancy or post baby photos. The only time we might post a baby photo is at the hospital as I'm sure one wants to shout to the world (I might send an email instead)...however that will be the one and only time! It is not even safe to put children photos online with all the weirdos online!! You have to be so careful nowadays, I think FB and Twitter makes people forget this!

Good on you, Peardrop :-)

I hope I can be as restrained!

DulcetMoans Wed 26-Sep-12 19:18:29

I don't think its unusual raspberry, I haven't mentioned my engagement either. Just feel a bit personal about it and FB isn't even that personal!

Right, can I symptom spot yet?

Oh, Dad coming to stay tomorrow, must hide all CB things!!!

woody17 Wed 26-Sep-12 19:28:57

Hi all

Tracking temperatures sounds quite complicated but I might give it a go if nothing happens in the next few months.

Raspberrysandcream I know what you mean about FB. I really don't like the things that come up on my news feed telling me how many weeks so and so is at and what's happening with the baby.

nicola have you got much left to sort out for the wedding?

letskiwithisthing Wed 26-Sep-12 19:44:08

Evening ladies, hi to pear and thunder - nice to have you on board!

Dulcet - have you had any symptoms then, do share grin

Woody - the tempings a bit weird at first but second nature now! Only thing is my thermometer beeps to turn on and then beeps 3 times when a temp is recorded! Drives DH insane when he's in bed in the morning after a late shift haha! He keeps jokingly threatening to bin it -as I'd he would dare wink

Raspberry - at least you are getting lots of DTD in ready for when you get your smiley! Fx it comes soon and then you can join us on the 2ww!

As for the fb thing, I haven't got many pg friends on there - maybe 3 in total and one is close so don't mind about her too much! Agree that I won't be posting pics though, wouldn't want my baby to be judged (maybe I'm being daft) by everyone if you know what I mean! Agree with pear that we would send a text or email to close friends and family :-) can't wait for that day!!!
